GOW3 got a PS4 remaster during the lead up to GOW PS4’s release but yeah GOW 1 and 2 have not been made available on new consoles since the PS3/Vita collection, and on Vita it was fucked up because it had framerate issues and a bug where the trophies just didn’t unlock properly. Still no wolverine game and it’s almost the end of the console gen. A lot of these remakes and remasters too is just depressing when you can play the original or emulate them on pc. The games people actually want never get announced and the ones that do only have shiny trailers. I’m tired of the “zero risks” model.

Haha you don’t have to explain, I totally get it. I was teasing cause it was oddly specific. We went to H&R once for tax stuff cause we moved states and we thought it’d be more confusing than usual. We got out with an 80 year old man who had no idea how to use his computer system and I spent 8 hours with this man walking him through it 😭. He was like can I schedule yall for next year and I was yeah sure, yup. Promptly canceled it a week later lol. We should’ve done to an actual CPA.

I really enjoyed that State of Play. The best one they put on in a long while imo. For me the standouts where of course the God of War Trilogy being remade (HOLY SHIT THE ZUES LINE GAVE ME CHILLS), a new DOA coming, the John Wick game, Tokōn X-Men reveal, 007, the new Konami games (the Anime/Persona one and MGS4 IS FREE FROM THE PS3!!!!!) and the RE9 trailer (I was already sold on RE Requiem but I always love to see more of it). Overall I think this SOP had something for everyone and I really enjoyed it! (Pls Square Enix announce something soon I’m begging) 8/10 from me! Good Job Sony!

It was a really showcase but imo there was a lul after kena 2 then picked up I think after resident evil but u also had trailers in there like do we need to see more of this someone at capcom gotta chill with showing story spoilers. I think it was way better than the last couple PlayStation shows but stuff like 4loop dead or alive James Bond felt the weakest points. I‘m shocked slowcap ain’t making John wick. I always wonder immediately after a showcase like this what’s going on with sqaure or sega or ea or Ubisoft they feel like the wildcards for this year we know some stuff but not that big fall game.

They aren’t gonna annouce FF7R3 before Rebirth releases on Switch 2 and Xbox, I don’t know why half this thread thought this was gonna happen, espically with how Hamaguchi won’t shut up about how Part 3 is gonna be multiplat and they want an venue to make that annoucement as effective as possible.

I think most expected a bigger blow out during summers game fest but given Rebirth got discounted before the Switch two launch when they could have held onto it made it makes sense for a teaser given June to January (to tie into their anniversary which most expect given how they have been talking about it being tested already with the main stuff done) is very short compared to their other releases, like rebirth got a teaser way ahead of it’s release either they are going to have a super short launch to release or it’s later then we thought

The FF7 Remake trilogy likely is taking up a lot of resources from the KH Team, as Square likely views as a more important project right now. While FF9 Remake, we only know about its existence through leaks that shouldn’t have happened, and the more recent leaks about its development suggest it ran into some major issues and may have been cancelled. Like for FF9 Remake, I think its best just to give up on that and be surprised if we do ever see that.

It was a part of the big GeForce Now leak of 2021, then I think both Jason and Nate confirmed its existence. But last year Nate said, he heard it hit roadblocks and might have been cancelled.
