I mean, he bled all over the ice but when he got up, he looked more angry at his hand than anything. He was glaring at it like “how dare you get cut and bleed everywhere?” Also, I think the entire men’s field should just be highlighted in yellow. I can’t watch men’s live anymore. It gives me such bad anxiety. I’ve switched to watching pairs more often… which might be worse for my anxiety.

Oh, exactly… So many of my personal favourites here. Honestly, after many skaters from the mid-late 2010s – the early 2020s (which has been often considered “the golden era” of men’s figure skating) retired, I also firstly thought that men’s figure skating would become a bit less exciting… But then, already starting from the 2022/2023 season (which, for example, included the first successfully landed 4A from Ilia), I gradually started to support more and more current skaters. So, I had been waiting for these Olympics, and I’m excited and worried at the same time… I want to see many of them with medals, but, unfortunately, there are only three medals – and only one of them is gold.

I am calm. It’s nice not being heavily invested in the men. I have my favorites of course, but I’m also okay with chaos. There is only one man I really dislike as a person and he is highly unlikely to be in the medal hunt so I’m just going to enjoy it and hope for a lot of really great skates!
