Tetairoa McMillan is currently trending due to a recent incident involving his use of the N-word during a live stream, which has sparked considerable media coverage. The situation was highlighted by a report from Daily Mail, detailing how McMillan’s outburst created an awkward moment for the young hosts involved. This high-profile incident has garnered significant public interest, leading to increased search queries related to McMillan.

Additionally, there is ongoing positive attention surrounding McMillan’s performance with the Carolina Panthers. An article from Cat Crave indicates that Panthers insiders believe he is living up to expectations, which adds to the conversation about his status as a player. The combination of both the controversial live stream incident and the positive developments on the field has contributed to the surge in search interest.

As always, I’ll be hanging around the comments so feel free to throw out any thoughts – nothing I love more than speculating in February!

Set on starters and backups at QB? Yeesh.

I feel like chubba and brooks are a solid buy as Rico’s probably leaving and you can buy that backfield for not too bad of a price
C
CoopThereItIs • 3 points
That’s how I feel too – as I mentioned in the article, I’ll even stash Trevor Etienne in case Brooks doesn’t recover (which is a sad but unfortunate possibility as we know). I linked/mentioned a couple reasons why it seems pretty clear to me that Rico walks.

LudaChris999 • 1 points
How do you view brooks future, I feel like he’ll get some touches and could be a really solid handcuff if Chubba goes down or anything
C
CoopThereItIs • 4 points
Dave Canales loves momentum for his RBs. Even when he was splitting between Chuba and Dowdle, they wouldn’t rotate by play they would rotate by drive to allow them to get into a groove. And it became clear that he didn’t even like that so after doing that for a bit he committed to Dowdle for a few weeks then committed to Chuba. So with the philosophy they have, I don’t think there is a situation where they say “okay you take 1st down and this guy takes pass down etc.” I think if Brooks does show up and he’s a star, he’ll eventually be the guy. And, if he’s not, then Chuba will be the guy. Which is good for whoever gets the work.

The Panthers want to run the ball. I think they’re always going to try and get a good split of competent backs going.
T
Troutalope • -1 points
Chuba yes, I’m not betting on Brooks becoming a relevant fantasy asset until I see it.
F
furrygoat • 19 points
If Coker dodges a rd1 wr I feel like he’ll be ok. But ultimately, he’ll always be behind Tet and reliant on Bryce to improve pretty heavily. For those reason he’ll be like a 60% Tee Higgins imo. And how valuable is that to your starting lineup? I wonder if now is the time to move off of the hype.
C
CoopThereItIs • 9 points
That’s often my general philosophy. For two guys to be fantasy-relevant you really need an elite QB or super high consolidation (three almost never happens). Cashing out an undrafted guy for anything whenever you can is often the prudent move. For every Adam Thielen there are 19 guys like Preston Williams or Isaiah Hodgins.
Q
qdude124 • 6 points
It probably takes somewhere around pick 13-15 to get me to move off Coker right now. I’m not saying I’m super stoked on him but this draft class gets downright disgusting after those picks and realistically Coker’s last game will probably be more production than the vast majority of these guys in the back half of the draft will produce in any single game for their entire careers. He’s a fun hold this offseason, we’ll see what happens.
D
Due-Mountain-8716 • 2 points
I think Coker stats go down, but he gets more catches. I think hes a lock for solid wr irl, but he’ll lose fantasy value. Hes a solid guy and good WR, but he got a bunch of yards on big plays. Whether its a new WR2 or new WR3, they will likely get a field stretcher who is faster than Coker and more reliable than Legette. Then he wouldn’t be the #1 guy running deep. Hope im wrong though, I love me some Coker.
K
KarrlMarrx • 2 points
Yeah, I don’t really get why everyone lists this guy as a buy. I’m fairly certain my second round pick is probably gonna be a flop, but I’m even more certain that Coker’s ceiling is occasionally flex guy.
F
furrygoat • 1 points
I think the move is to trade him for a flex worthy rb. RBs are more dependable flexes imo. I’m considering sending him for Montgomery or Stevenson.
H
henryforprez • 5 points
You mention that Andy Dalton is locked in as the backup and there’s no plan to change that. But as a Panthers fan everything I’ve been hearing from our GM in the off-season, it seems like they want to bring in a developmental guy to eventually take over that backup role. Andy is getting quite old and didn’t show as well in his snaps this year compared to last.
C
CoopThereItIs • 1 points
I did mention in the Free Agency QB Take section of the article that that it would be wise to do exactly that for when Dalton is done – for Dalton I was more just talking in regards to his roster spot for this season. Were you thinking more in terms of a late round draft pick or a reclamation project?
H
henryforprez • 1 points
I get the sense the team is thinking Late Round pick more than someone already in the league. But that’s just from some of the clips I’ve seen of Dan Morgan.

Has anyone successfully bought Brooks this off season? Offered 2.02 and Troy Franklin and got countered for the 1.07
P
poop-dolla • 6 points
I would not pay either of those prices for brooks. I think he’s KTC price of around an early 3rd is about right. I’d maybe go with a late 2nd, but would go above that.
B
box_148 • 2 points
Similar — offering a mid 2nd and getting stonewalled. The time to buy was probably mid-season when Rico was going off. Now we’re all full of offseason hopium, Brooks owners included.
C
CardGamerGuy • 1 points
A few months ago I bought brooks + 27 3rd for Jake Ferguson
H
haverchuck22 • 1 points
Jesus, I think you got lucky you got turned down. Certainly don’t accept the 1.07 offer.
F
FantasyTrash • 1 points
Respectfully, assuming that other owner is your friend, they are a complete jackass. They think Jonathon Brooks is worth a **1st**? Are they out of their mind? 2.02 and Franklin is already an overpay, they’re completely trying to take advantage of you.
S
schmatty23 • 4 points
Jealous of anyone that was able to buy Chuba during last season when his value dropped. A good lesson in “follow the money.” Rico is probably on his way out, and Chuba was just the better back for second half of the season. I don’t think Brooks or Etienne pose a significant threat, and with a weak draft class, I like the odds of Chuba having a commanding hold on the backfield next season.
O
OlBoyBoy • 14 points
Ehh if brooks is actually healthy they are going to give him some chances after spending a 2nd round pick on him and only being 22 still. I think decent chance they split the backfield by mid season.
C
CoopThereItIs • 6 points
Brooks is a complete mystery box with probably the widest range of outcomes of any player. It could be that he’s completely done. Or it could turn out that the injuries were just bad timing and that he fully recovers – and he was the first RB drafted in his class. And that uncertainty also affects Chuba. In an ideal world, you have an RB room that has a star at the top then is filled with lesser guys who are all under contract. No threat of free agency or the draft. With Chuba, he could have a star behind him. He could have a situation where Brooks is pretty much done so they need to sign and/or draft someone.
O
OlBoyBoy • 3 points
I agree the only mystery is how he healed and his recovery, not many comeback from two acl tears in the same knee but I like to think optimistically, he is super young that helps the healing and I can imagine the surgery and rehab have all improved over the years. If he’s even 90% himself then he’s probably the most talented back on the roster. He was an absolute dog at UT and I have a hard time not seeing him share the backfield at some point next season if he’s healthy. Don’t have him in dynasty but cheering for him
S
schmatty23 • 2 points
That is a pretty big if imo and Chuba’s contract represents equal or greater investment than Brook’s draft capital. He will get some work for sure, but I am betting on the established vet loved by the staff over the guy that has barely played football in the last two years. A true split may be on the horizon in 27, but I would consider it less than likely this season.

Jackalexd • 1 points
Eh if Brooks comes back healthy which is a big risk I agree, he’s a much more exciting talent than Chuba. We just saw Dowdle displace and outplay Chuba for a big chunk of the season, which is IMO reflective of Chuba being a JAG+ talent placed in an amazing situation in the Carolina run game. The overpay contract is what it is at this point, sunk cost. Brooks is more talented and if healthy gets dropped into that same situation so he’s much more exciting to me if high risk
M
matteus98 • 7 points
I’d disagree on Brooks if he stays healthy but Etienne is just looking like their return guy
S

I got him off waivers near the end of the season. No idea (kinda) why he got dropped

Thanks for the article! You have Hubbard as a locked in starter and mention he’s on a long term deal. He’s not, his deal guaranteed his 2024 and 2025 + signing bonus, the only thing he has left guaranteed is $1.8M/year of his signing bonus and $4.5M of his 2026 salary. They can easily cut or trade him post June 1st. The thing keeping him on the roster isn’t the contract but the locker room presence, and we see GMs under-estimate that all the time. And last year we saw that when Rico started really outperforming Chuba when they were both healthy, the panthers were comfortable having Chuba as the 1B even with being a locker room leader. I don’t think Chuba has job safety and I think there’s a chance the panthers either re-negotiate with Chuba to bring him back as a team leader but not pay him as a top 15 RB, or trade/cut him if they can’t. And all of it will hinge on whether Brooks is good to go.

Dan Morgan is a former panthers player and probably understands locker room culture better than anyone. I would be very surprised if Chuba is not the starting back in 2026

Gosh man, in theory I really feel like Bryce is on a prove it year. With Tet and Coker, and the possibility of them bringing in a first round receiver, he’s got to do better. Bryce is the focus point for me on this offense and his ability to do more than narrowly win games and navigate to the playoffs with a losing record. If he can’t do more especially after this years draft picks, he’s got to be replaced.
C
CoopThereItIs • 1 points
Thing is, they need to decide on whether to pick up his fifth year option by May. And based on comments by Dan Morgan, than decision is already made. Barring a catastrophic year, he’s probably the QB for the next two years.
H
haverchuck22 • 1 points
Curious to see how long he can extend his zero career drops streak.
T
Troutalope • -1 points
Coker’s issue is the same issue for Tet, which is limited accuracy out of the QB position. The good is that Bryce has continued to improve annually, but a possession receiver needs to have a catch % above 70% to be impactful in most scoring formats, maybe Coker gets there next season if he stays healthy?
M
Mad_Mike3 • 3 points
I’m not sure where you’re getting QB accuracy as the main issue. Bryce has good ball placement and it improved this year and was a strength. Lotta the missed throws and INTs this year were more an overall offense growing pains/development-type of thing to me, Bryce certainly included. But Tet, while great, was still a rookie and Coker was injured half the year. Vet David Moore was supposed to be on the field for us. We had a lot of miscommunication and missed timings, not to mention a lot of drops. Edit: And issues with pass protection still. IMO the concerns with Panthers offensive players going forward are 1. Can the offense come together as a whole to produce consistently and when needed, explosively. And 2. Do we spread the ball around/grind the clock too much for any individual player to hit their ceiling case
T
Troutalope • 1 points
You asking me why is QB accuracy is an issue for a WR in fantasy football? Young has been below league average in completion percentage for 3 seasons now, but he’s improved, which is good. Coker is a possession WR2 that offers relatively little YAC and deep value, which means he needs to catch a lot of balls to be relevant for fantasy purposes. It’s real hard to catch a lot of balls if those throws are not on target.
M
Mad_Mike3 • 2 points
Obviously not. I was asking where you were getting that the main issue with the Panthers skill players is Bryce’s accuracy. If you’re going just based on completion percentage I can see how you think that. An issue, yes. I just don’t agree that is his or the team’s main issue now or looking forward Edit: Also, in comp% without drops and throwaways he was #15 this year. Deep ball comp% #8.
