So Dan brought nothing to the table
I
iDEN1ED • 178 points
He somehow doesn’t understand what “common opponents” even means.
I
Im_not_smelling_that • 80 points
He had no idea what that meant. Absolutely insane dude is getting paid to comment on NFL
T
TB1289 • 21 points
99% of the former athletes that they give a mic to are complete empty heads. They’re there because some program director just wants to hang out with them at sponsored events.
M
mattacular2001 • 13 points
More insane he’s allowed to vote
L
LeoFireGod • 5 points
What’s crazy is BEFORE espn he was giving amazing content. And everyone on here and online was begging for him to get on espn and things like that. Saying “wow espn won’t give people like this a platform just hire Stephen A’s 24/7”. Then he became this person after he made it
L
LakerBlue • 8 points
The sad thing is he could have made a point about Maye facing more injured defenses on common opponents (not saying that’s true) but he basically just brought up what could have been the start of a counterpoint then just…kept adding nothing.
B
bobdownie • 200 points
Never has. The white Kendrick Perkins.
B
Bearded_Pip • 50 points
Perk at least contributed to a winning a team. Dan was a full blown NFL wash out.
T
tlollz52 • 13 points
Yea, only managed to stay in the league for over 10 years. What a loser!
B
btg7471 • 38 points
10 years and all anyone remembers is him forgetting where the end zone stops

“I hope you’re hungry … FOR NOTHING”
Z
Zapp_Rowsdower_ • 7 points
Less than. Holy cow did he get trucked.
R
reigninspud • 7 points
He did some quality stammering. That’s not nothing.
M
MigratingMountains • 10 points
I’m so fucking SICK of people “arguing” or “debating” without having a single point. All they do is say “that’s not true, I have zero evidence to the contrary, and I refuse to elaborate.” Literally getting paid millions of dollars to say “Nuh uh”
S
SelfTaughtKarateKid • 5 points
He can’t even look her in the eyes because he knows he don’t believe it
D
DonnerPartyAllNight • 8 points
Really sounds like he came into a debate without doing any prep. Thought he could bs his way through the segment and fell flat.
I
IamHydrogenMike • 3 points
So, the same as when he was a QB?
S
simpleanswersjk • 580 points
She laid out a really great case why can’t the other guy just acknowledge that, take issue with some of the stats maybe, and make his own case. Seems way too hammed up in interpersonal drama-instigating to be interesting.
T
TheLowlyPheasant • 316 points
Mina Kimes is a really great sports reporter in general.
S
Shivs_baby • 87 points
She is! Love watching her, she’s very insightful. One of my favorites.
N
NerdyReligionProf • 16 points
She’s legit my favorite NFL analyst/reporter. Domonique Foxworth and Dan Graziano are also elite, and my guess is both of them would say Mina is excellent too. Dan sometimes has interesting takes, but he predictably favors QBs in general, and Stafford and Allen in particular while refusing to admit it.

–howcansheslap– • 150 points
How does Dan get a vote? Like he has no point here.
H
however_comma_ • 66 points
His stat is that he is friends with Stafford.
C
Critical-Werewolf-53 • 6 points
Because Dan doesn’t think he’s ever wrong.
J
jcoddinc • 19 points
They’re contractually obligated to fight to make sound clips for better engagement. It’s stupid
T
Tommy_Wisseau_burner • 12 points
I disagree because the eye test and a patriots hater but I can’t not shit on Mina because she brings it every time. She wiped the floor with bro
R
RamboRigs • 3 points
Just a reminder this guy has a vote.
C
Coolquip34 • 3 points
he’s not used, by his own admission, of talking to a woman without the temptation of sex
K
KIumpy • 3 points
Because he doesn’t have any arguments. He voted for Stafford because of more TDs, they’re buddies, and Stafford is gonna retire in the next couple years. That’s it.
L
Literotamus • 5 points
He’s just outclassed. Unfair matchup
S
Seafoamed • 272 points
Dan was listening with his ears closed. Mina talked about the schedule for 2 minutes and he says you can’t ignore the schedule.
C
cl353 • 99 points
He’s had this line of “if ur gonna talk about how well a QB did then u gotta talk about who he did it against” that he’s basically had on repeat that’s supposed to be his gotcha argument He never considered there might be nuance needed for SoS lol
W
wickedsmaht • 27 points
He also discounted Mina’s argument about common opponents while complaining about the Pats SoS. You can’t complain about the Patriots schedule being “easy” and then just ignore that the Rams did have opponents in common with the Pats this year.
G
GucciTiger_ • 3 points
It was also based on 35% of the games they played. That’s not a small number
W
Whaty0urname • 8 points
>He never considered there might be nuance Welcome to 2026
I
iameveryoneelse • 5 points
I’ve never understood why they compare offenses either. Maye never played against another quarterback. Plenty of Defenses though.
D
DaxFlowLyfe • 48 points
He had his talking points and nothing else. And he stuck to them even though she destroyed the talking points because he can’t debate without his script. This was like if in 8 Mile after Eminem did his rap about knowing everything Papa Doc was going to say, Papa Doc went ahead and did his verse anyways with everything Eminem said he would and acted like he won.
W
WARLOCK1239 • 11 points
Omg that analogy is so accurate
L
LakerBlue • 6 points
Immediately lost all my respect when he said that. And nothing he said afterwards raised it back up. The only way you don’t think she talked about the schedule is he wasn’t listening. Literally couldn’t even acknowledge what she said and then give a bad counter argument.
A
altiif • 779 points
Dan O is so obnoxious and annoying. I can’t stand him
F
Forsaken-Sale7672 • 196 points
Imagine him as your QB now.
B
Bearded_Pip • 43 points
And somehow he’s worse on TV than he was as a QB.
G
General_Mongoose_281 • 13 points
I like how he suicided a lions drive.
T
Tippacanoe • 6 points
Imagine if you were the back of the end zone right now. 👀
R
Rhino281 • 55 points
Mina did her research. Dan O watched some games this year.
M
msf97 • 239 points
Orlovsky unironically sounds like the average redditor on this debate though. Advocating for Maye like Kimes does here was met with heavy downvotes and people counting passing touchdowns and ignoring every other metric for QB play
D
DASreddituser • 12 points
Im pretty sure ive seen plenty of maye mvp posts/comments with hundreds of upvotes lol
T
Toucann_Froot • 32 points
He’s referring to how the argument is made, not what all of reddit believes for the argument
H
hampsted • 3 points
Would you mind linking one? I don’t believe I’ve seen any.
