It’s called a 0.5 second offense. Basically the ideal is 5 guys on the floor that can shoot or pass at any moment. Constant movement. Hence why people thought MPJ was going to pad his stats this year, that he’d just let every ball come to him and chuck it. It’s honestly really cool that he’s played at an all star level for us instead.

If you’re judging by the games they played against the Spurs then your right, it was just a free for all at the beginning of the season. In December + early Jan it was a ton of off ball actions (out of necessarily really cos no one can dribble) and there was a bit of a structured offence. Then Cam came back, the tank was back on track and everything went to shit.

For sure on the defense But MPJ’s passing has honestly been pretty solid, he has a nice connection with Claxton and he pretty reliably finds the open guy on the perimeter when doubled (unfortunately the Nets currently have a dearth of players who can reliably make threes)
