“Ordinary” and “Eternity” are guilty pleasures of mine. I have to say that the audio issues aside, I liked his VMAs performance more. When Todd and Lena covered the VMAs on Song vs. Song, Todd said that the amped-up instrumentals only made “Ordinary” worse, and I actually disagree. I liked the energy in that performance, and it’s actually what warmed us up to both of those songs. I’m excited to hear how they covered last night.

Katseye has some incredible performances but the Grammys unfortunately wasn’t one of them- it wasn’t just the wrong song choice, the singing was not good and even the dancing was off at parts. These girls are so young though, you can’t expect perfection every time and I hope they aren’t too hard on themselves.

The way even their fans say “they are so talented but their music is so bad” tells you what you need to know about their music. Also, “don’t care about their music, but they are so pretty” . They are good dancers. If they are good singers, that is unlikely to become evident under kpop label. Their songs are at best “fine”. Best marketing push though. They cut out the line “making beats for boring dumb bitch” which was a good idea since none of them had anything to do with the song.

I like katsey. They are really talented and amazing performers. But live vocals is something that they do not strive on. Although I don’t think it’s cause they aren’t amazing singers, I believe it’s more due to the fact that their performances are mostly focused on the visuals and their choreo is so intense it just makes it “impossible” for them to deliver amazing vocals. Their music catalogue I’d say it’s really hit or miss. Imo, “Gabriela”, “Touch” and “MIA” are great songs, but then “Internet Girl” was so bad… You nailed it on the marketing part though. The girls are pumping content like that’s all they do.

The Addison superfans are trying their damnedest to rewrite reality, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Her dancing is not good, and she didn’t sing. Her dancing is solidly okay. Following it up with the extremely, militaristically perfect Katseye dancing just makes it obvious. Their performance wasn’t effective overall, but literally every movement was SHARP.
