I grew up watching them. I’m YT and had no dad. Siblings were all much older and not around. Raised by TV. I got love from that show…as weird as that sounds. I wore glasses and would always lose them, just like Fred.

Didn’t know his first name was actually Grady. Interesting person, I think married to the same woman, became a preacher. Not the Hollywood stereotype. Watched that show probably more than any other 70s show.

Eh. You’re mostly correct, but Demond Wilson had some lost in the woods years with Hollywood excesses. Read up on the “Cotton Club Murders”. Demond was up to his nostrils in da Coca. Got inadvertently dragged into a circle of narco traffickers, vaudeville and movie players, money launderers, a very famous Studio Executive (Robert Evans), Larry Flint & some coked up bodybuilder security guards turned assassins, and ultimately the murder of an associate and plug of Demond’s. Many say that whole ordeal shocked Demond into sobriety and becoming a preacher. For sure it was a door closer on his career – Hollywood kept right on debauchin’ while Demond went straight and narrow.
