If they turn this Kuminga saga into Giannis, honestly props to them.
J
Jec1027 • 1,341 points
Forget kuminga the draft picks are what bucks need right now badly
C
CompetitiveDinner569 • 564 points
Adding Kuminga probably requires higher quality picks to take him.
T
thisisjustascreename • 602 points
Oh lord Doc Rivers about to have Kyle Kuzma and Kuminga on one team
M
mikehulse29 • 168 points
You mean like his golf foursome? They deal Giannis and he’s gonna be stepping away from coaching for his family REAL FAST
N
noplaceinmind • 80 points
Nah, pretty sure he can soldier on for a season and a half for another 10 million dollars.
M
mug3n • 43 points
Lol yeah, pro move is to wait for the bucks to fire him
F
fireman2004 • 20 points
He can go back to ESPN and still get paid to not coach.
B
bobak186 • 17 points
He’s not giving up $10 million. He’s also not going to be coaching for Milwaukee without gianis. He’ll get his money and fuck off to his home for golfing and podcast appearances. Being an ex NBA coach is probably the best job there is
T
Taco_Baco_D8s • 8 points
The best job in the world is the fired head coach no matter the sport. Shit CFB coaches be making up to 50 million to sit at home lmao
A

Especially when it’s not dependent on his performance

Kuminga has a team option for next year, no way the Warriors need to add extra for him when any team that acquires him can be done with him after this season
B
bchhun • 22 points
That’s exactly what his brilliant agent pointed out — his contract is super favorable for trades. (Even though it’s terrible for Kuminga)
J
Jdiaz41 • 23 points
Then they’ll be essentially trading cap space plus picks for Giannis. The Bucks can get a lot better from other teams.
I
illbegoodnow • 18 points
Besides OKC and Spurs, what other teams can provide better value? Considering the Bucks timeline post Giannis, the dubs package makes the most sense.
C
comp_a • 32 points
Nah not Kuminga, he’s a club option next year so he’s a neutral asset at worst (possibly positive if you’re a team trying to clear their books). But you definitely need to attach picks to get off of Jimmy. $60 million to a 37 year old coming off an ACL tear? That’s not appealing at all, regardless of what the player’s resume is. Both are included here just for salary matching anyway. Neither would be on the Bucks next season I imagine.
S
Suomiballer • 6 points
No it doesn’t. He has a team option for next year. They could just decline it after this year
T
TrainedExplains • 6 points
He’s a contract that’s expiring in 3 months. The bucks are no longer competing and don’t want to be paying tax. He’s the most important part of the deal lol.
N
nba2k11er • 9 points
It absolutely does not. That’s the whole point of his team option contract. He’s an expiring… Adding Kuminga would mean the Warriors are willing to take some bad long term salary back along with.
J
JalensTinyPPHurts • 7 points
Why would the bucs be against young talent? He has shown flashes of very intriguing talent any time he’s been given legitimate minutes, despite being on a team that doesn’t fit him. For a team without a future star, that’s a plus in a trade
Y
yosisoy • 35 points
Draft picks of a low playoff warriors? Or are we talking draft picks of the post Steph era?
K
Katfish145 • 72 points
Post Steph era unless Steph somehow plays into his 40s
L
LaidOffinAlb • 30 points
He could play into his 40s, if he becomes a spot up shooter. No chance he keeps this run and gun style much longer; I remember seeing some wild ass stat about how he was running on average something like 3+ miles a game running around screens
P
pacificpgn • 15 points
That’s a crazy stat. It’s what makes me kind of marvel how coordinated players like him and wemby are at their sizes. I know people 6ft tall who move like they wear cement shoes
T
Talic • 12 points
Steph is the type of superstar that doesn’t mind coming off the bench. He doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight. He no longer meeds to prove anything to the Warriors fan base or front office.
F
Fit_Home_1842 • 8 points
Post Steph Warriors
S
spiraldrain • 21 points
Bucks are royally fucked until 2030 at the earliest. Dames contract will count as 20mil against the cap until then. They should have never went after turner and just hit the reset button last offseason and tank until dame comes off the books.
S
StriperCapital • 9 points
I mean we tried to tell those dumb motherfuckers that.
F
flexingtonsteele • 305 points
The draft picks are super valuable
D
dvasquez93 • 118 points
Helps that the front office stood firm on the team option. Keeps Kuminga from being an absolute negative value asset.
Z
zeroxray • 23 points
unless curry/giannis ball out into their 40s
L
Low-Measurement-2468 • 47 points
i don’t think giannis is going to age very well. he is incredibly reliant on athleticism and much more injury prone than people seem to acknowledge.
I
ImperialSympathizer • 12 points
Plus it’s a lot of lower body stuff, specifically the calves he needs to get low and blow by defenders
R
Ruma-park • 22 points
If he can open Stephs window for just one more go he’s worth it.
D
donkeykong154 • 10 points
Absolutely. As a Warriors fan I don’t care that we’ll be sacrificing our future for a non guaranteed chip with Giannis. I just want to see Steph competing at a high level and the front office doing right by him since we owe all of our franchise success and relevancy to him.
B
BaronsDad • 81 points
If this happens LeBron joins the Warriors in free agency
D

PLEASE
M
MR_E7 • 39 points
People are underestimating the kind of salary relief that Butler’s and Kuminga’s soon-to-be-expiring contracts will bring to the Bucks, given that they still have to pay Lillard 20-plus million for multiple years. That, along with Kuminga’s upside and those picks, are what should make the Warriors’ package the most enticing to the Bucks.
D
DemarcusLovin • 37 points
> should make the Warriors’ package the most enticing to the Bucks. lol you’re a Warriors fan, of course you’re saying this it’s a terrible offer. there are like 5-6 teams that can easily beat that
M
Mundane-Structure148 • 11 points
i mean sure the thunder can offer jdub and picks or the rockets can offer all their young players with nets picks but neither team seems to want to do that. or the spurs the reported teams are the knicks, timberwolves, heat, warriors. out of those the warriors have a very competitive offer
T
TheMeerkatLobbyist • 3 points
Why is Kuminga not playing for the Warriors if he has any notable upside? And why would the Bucks care about Lillards remaining contract if they are completely resetting anyway? The salary relief is a complete nonfactor for the Bucks when they trade Giannis. This offer is horrendous.

Yes Jimmy yes. That line doesn’t work this time
