At least we won the possession stat again, you might outrun us….you might even outscore us….but to heck if you think you’re out possessing us.

These are getting hard to watch. It’s sad I’m not getting excited watching our team anymore. I just dont really understand what we’re trying to do. It looks like a bunch of demotivated individual players trying to do something but not adhering to a single strategy. I have no clue what were building towards. At least when klopp started you knew what he was trying to do, even If it took a while for it to click. Im not even upset about losing, just make it decent to watch…

I’d take Hodgson over this shite!

He’s head of Redbull’s football subsidiaries.

Even if they do bring in Alonso it doesn’t change the additions the squad needs or the lack of balance in the squad so I think they’ll give him the season
–
–craig– • 2 points
You’re correct. Football fans don’t understand how modern football clubs work. They try to pin success and failure on one man when the reality is it’s much more complicated than that. Sadly if there’s enough negativity in the fan base, they often get their way.

lfcgirl123 • 1 points
Even when klopp was manager he had issues with lack of depth and balance in the squad and he was expected to work miracles. Slot is trying to do the same except he doesn’t have the ability to do so like Klopp. I think he’s a good manager but it’s the lack of depth and balance in the squad that is costing him and there is only so much he can do unfortunately. If Alonso does come in we may have same issues going forward I do think people think he’ll come in and fix things but he may not

We spent 400m in the summer 😂 we only lack depth at centre half. We can’t use depth as an excuse for this utter shite. We have no identity and no coherent setup. This team should not be struggling like this.
E
Exotic_Onion_3417 • 1 points
We can’t beat Burnley, Leeds or Sunderland at home. Bournemouth had won 1 game in 14 before that. I agree with board has let him down with the lack of CB signing but the results and especially the performances have been shocking all season
L
lfcgirl123 • 1 points
Lack depth in defence as well
S
Separate_Ad_6094 • 1 points
That’s where centre half is 😂

You’re missing the point that this squad still isn’t performing at the level it should be

Have you ever tried to go out and run hard for two hours every few days? Even with the best training, there’s only so long you can do it for without burning out.
M
moojshsta • 1 points
So the millions of dollars, best training facilities and Training staff doesnt help
–
–craig– • 1 points
Incorrect but even with the best training you still need to be able to rotate players if you’re playing as many matches as the top clubs.
L
lfcgirl123 • 2 points
They are professional athletes who are fined tunes to run 1-2 times a week they are not some random person going for a run if they can’t run hard for 2 hours every few days then something is wrong 😂😂🙄
S
Separate_Ad_6094 • 3 points
They are professional athletes fine tuned to perform 1-2 times a week. Not some lad training for the company fun run.
T
tomz_gunz • 1 points
Then a more compact shape is required. There are gaping holes in the middle of the park that even rival fans are baffled by
L
lfcgirl123 • 2 points
You’re missing my point too though yes the squad should be performing but we’re also lacking in balance and missing players in key areas that would be impossible for any manager to work with Klopp had it for years he was expected to work miracles
T
tomz_gunz • 2 points
Bournemouth are missing far more key players than we are. They had won one match in their last 14 games and are struggling in the bottom half of the table. Of course the team needs bolstering, but Slot is not close to making the most of what he’s got. Just so it’s crystal clear, I think the transfer directors are equally as responsible for where the club is right now.

Wanted to comment just this, I get having sympathy for Arne Slop, but this is just a delusional take. We have some injuries, sure, but 1 simple question flings everything out the window. Does AMY player from Bournemouth, Fullham, Burnley, Leeds start over ANY Liverpool starting player from today, even if said player is at 80%? (Excluding Gakpo, since he SHOULD be starting Ekitikè…) Answer is no, hence he should gtfo our club NOW and get someone in who doesn’t have a hardon for Mr Cody cutinsideandhopeforthebest Gakpo
T
tomz_gunz • 1 points
Lmao, exactly.
–
–craig– • 1 points
The Premier League is much more competitive than you think. Any player only able to give 80% of their maximum effort would be lucky to be in the Championship.
E
Edrahimovic1001001 • 2 points
Pedantics aside, my point still stands. I expect a mostly fit squad to out compete all those teams, 9/10 times. We have done for years. City lost to Bodo Glint and kept a clean sheet vs a good run wolves. It’s harder yes, but even worse if you have a naked mole rat in the dugout
–
–craig– • 1 points
You make me ashamed to support Liverpool. I used to tell people we had the best fans in the world. I can’t honestly say that after reading comments like this.
–
–craig– • 1 points
Bournemouth play one match per week so don’t need as much depth.
T
tomz_gunz • 1 points
Of course. However, at most that negates my first sentence only.
A
Ashish_Trip • 1 points
Then how come we’re worse than what klopp took over and made into 6 months later. We were far better at transitions, had some patterns of play and defensive lapses were the only issues. Which he fixed via 2 transfers. I’d blame slot for not identifying the correct reinforcements/ OR not understanding his own limitations.

Super sideways Wirtz passes ball another game passes him by.

Starting gakpo, clearly a supersub player over Ekitike. Come on.
–
–craig– • 1 points
Ekitike played 80 mins on Wednesday. Two days rest might not be enough to expect much from him today.
A

Ekitike had some shite touches

Still more than what gakpo showed. Tell me one thing gakpo did better than him ? Apart from falling over his ass.

For the love of god I just want one of our players to shoot the fucking ball at the fucking net instead of 228 passes with the ball ending up at Ali’s feet again.

THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN SCREAMING FOR. BUT THE KNUCKLEHEADS ON THIS SUB WITH INFERIORITY COMPLEX DON’T UNDERSTAND
E
Edrahimovic1001001 • 2 points
Your choosing to believe that it’s the players that make these decisions themselves, we choose to believe it’s the manager that instills them in them. Difference? We’re right, you’re wrong lol
A
Ashish_Trip • 1 points
I might be wrong at saying that slot holds accountability. But you’re not holding players accountable either.
E
Edrahimovic1001001 • 1 points
Trust me, I am. Salah’s been dog shit, Van Dijk has been awful and so has Alison for that matter. Our shining lights have been Szobo Wirtz and Ekitike. The only problem is, I know how those players CAN perform. Look at international level, all them playing well for their countries, only to come back to Liverpool and get put into a shit restrictive system that has to be “just right” otherwise it will collapse in on itself. I don’t want a manager that’s system that beats 100% of teams, some times. I want one that beats most teams, most times. I.e. I want a manager who knows when shit’s hitting the fan and wants to fix it. Not just giving up and blaming whatever the reason this time is
