3 years in a row were the Trance/Prog lineup is painfully weak – there’s a few gems in there but in general it’s tragic. Lots of generic/derivative tech house of course. Above & Beyond are touring their new album and 25 years of their labels, Tiesto has returned to Trance after 20 years, Eric Prydz, Yotto, Joris Voorn, Lane 8, Ben Böhmer, Tinlicker all missing too – these should be no-brainers. No PvD, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz or Gareth Emery either. I’m genuinely curious who curates these lineups and if anything has changed, because the dropoff in the last 3 years has been insane. 14-15 odd stages over 3 days over two weekends and they can’t fit anything in? Joke.

I saw him playing at ASOT stage in Tomorrowland 2019, and a couple of times in ASOT NL festival as well. And in Airbeat One last year now that I remember. Pretty good to me

What it is a real pity is that there is no Mysteryland this year, there you should find Trance Energy stage. The chances if getting tickets are so low anyway that I think that I won’t even try this year. I’ll go for Airbeat One or similar, wheres there is some more trance and no problem getting tickets. Last year I went to both AB1 and TML, and regardless the difference in production I had so much better time in AB1

Hopefully another festival in Europe takes advantage of this and we get a banger lineup there. Trance/prog is dead at Tomorrowland now and it seems like they cater primarily to an NA big room and hard style crowd.

It boggles the mind how out-of-touch whoever makes the bookings seems to be – Tiesto and A&B particularly were such open goals, no Prydz is just rubbing it in. Feels like they’re trying to attract as many Strongbow Dark Fruits/Fiat 500/Final Boss crowds as possible these days.

Any suggestions about another summer festival? Airbeat One and Dance valley have some trance, AB1 has the “Second stage” where there are psy-trance and regular trance acts and Dance Valley has a dedicated trance stage. Any other? (Besides Luminosity obviously)

Primarily caters to hardstyle? 😂 There’s a single hardstyle stage for one day each weekend and like one or two acts a day on main/library.
