Their chat is AI, so even though it feels more likely to be honest because it’s telling you something that clearly isn’t the official “party line”, that doesn’t mean that what it’s said is actually accurate. Seems like it might be, but AI lies confidently and frequently, so we can’t say for sure without actual human confirmation from the inside.

I’m speaking specifically to the illusion of truthiness put forward by AI in interactions with humans. The title of this post begins with “Now I know why…” which couldn’t be farther from reality. A categorically untrustworthy conversation with an AI chatbot has given information that sounds like a logical answer. At best, this is data. There is still no way to know whether it is true or false, because as I said previously, AI lies confidently and frequently.

Thanks for the info. Some TVs in our home have changed channels on their own it’s really annoying. And now, as of the last day or so, the Sling menu has been totally revamped and the new channel guide is miserable to use. What’s strange is our main TV uses their premium square box, Ultra or something, and it continues to use the older / original menu and guide format.

I was in the kitchen Saturday afternoon half listening to a true crime show that was on in the living room…. Walked in to Big Bang Theory on MTV. I figured maybe the show paused and I stuck on a home screen preview too long so it started automatically. Thanks for convincing me I wasn’t crazy!
