Damn the sharks play a very fast stretched out game with a lot of fast break opportunities. Similar to Montreal’s game. Continue to play our game our way and we should be alright. I’ve said this before recently but it stands out even more after watching a couple Vegas games this week – I notice how Detroit does not like to shoot the puck from the point area even when they do have a body in front of the net. I think they should and have an o-zone structure that isn’t so spread out so they can’t battle for the puck if it gets blocked or deflected into the corner. Anway, glad to at least be tied after the 1st

To be replaced by what? The entire organization has exactly four guys who have the ability or potential to be real NHL defensemen. Once you get past Seider, Ed, Chiarot, and ASP there isn’t anything there. Honestly, the Wings could probably just dress four defensemen and rotate two random forwards as the last pair and it would be better than what they have now.

People were sort of joking about two of the more defensive minded forwards, like Ras and Apples as the third pair. And instead of immediately laughing you try to believe that they are Fedorov 2.0 for a bit.
