What a bunch of cowards. They parked the bus at the beginning. That’s what you get for being a scared little bitche. Lucky senegal wasn’t at their best form. I can’t believe our continent is going to represent by this horrible team.

Congrats to Senegal, deserved win for a great generation. We need to develop our football, to be able to compete with the rest, this is probably the best we could get with the quality we have. Terrible game plan from Hossam Hassan, we definitely are on a lower level as a team but what worked with ivory coast doesn’t necessarily work here. At least with ivory coast you had the ball, you had attempts but today we barely had the ball. You already gained enough confidence from last game, and you could have played a much better game.

Egypt has the talent to play beautiful football. They’re a big player in AFCON, act like it. Hopefully they’ll have a change of tactics
Q
quasiconcave_utility • 2 points
They absolutely don’t. Only extreme cases like Salah can make it to Europe, while decent players like Zizou who could’ve developed much more in Europe are married to Ahly/Zamalek.

We don’t really, I am not exaggerating. But specially this game, we should have been much more positive. But I think this team generally over achieved.

Why is Mane being an asshole and doing the calma celebration? We’re a shit team and we deserved to lose. But like why are you acting like you shut haters down? Nobody was giving him shit.
T
Truthseekerdkr • 1 points
You really missed the point . He was telling the team to calm down no need to celebrate since we got another game left to go … smdh
M
MN10SPEAKS • 3 points
Opposite of that, he was telling our players, fans and staff not to overcelebrate as respect to the Egyptians…
G
Greedy-Egg3748 • 3 points
He is telling his teammate to calm down. You sound like you never played football.
B
BKAFC • 6 points
I think it was to his own players and fans, saying to stay calm, we’ve still got the final to go. Sort of a ‘stay focused, the hard work is not done yet’ message. That’s what I got from it anyway.
S
Snugboo • 1 points
Plenty of people were giving him shit ….. for other reasons

At least most of the Egyptians aren’t crying like they’ve given everything and fallen short, just Marmoush really. Most of them look like they’re accepting the fate they chose. They delivered a cowardly performance where they ventured nothing, and losing was the inevitable result because Senegal weren’t going to roll over.

Egypt could not have spent that much time attacking like they did in the final minutes, it only depended on Senegal dropping off their high press to defend the lead, Egypt was simply overwhelmed in the first 85 minutes.
F
Far-Subject-7328 • 10 points
Egypt can’t complain about it
M

I love this ref with his no nonsense attitude. Grats to Senegal, hope they can win the final too
W
Worried-Schedule-124 • 2 points
The cry baby fans were raging at the end despite the ref being absolutely exceptional.
Q

Its this Afcon’s trend.
G
Greedy-Egg3748 • 9 points
I hope this will be wake up call to stop this terrorism ball. I hate this way of playing absolutely disgusting.
W
Worried-Schedule-124 • 2 points
I have never felt this angry by the way of a team’s playing tactic before. Absolutely embarrassing.
T
TexasRanger1012 • 4 points
I doubt it. We almost got away with it. The result could have been far worse if we played open play.
G
Greedy-Egg3748 • 3 points
You have so much talent you are wasting it on this terrorball
T
TexasRanger1012 • 2 points
So much talent? Are you sure about that? The only real talent we have is Marmoush and Salah. This isn’t the Egypt of past.
G
Greedy-Egg3748 • 1 points
A team without good players would not be in semi final and qualify for the world cup. You need a better gameplan that’s all
T
TexasRanger1012 • 1 points
We were shit every game of this tournament, except maybe against Ivory Coast. We had luck on our side getting to the semis. We also had the easiest path out of all the semifinalists. Our World Cup qualifying was also pretty easy.
A
aml1525 • 2 points
The game plan is what got us to this semi against a better Ivory Coast.
A
aml1525 • 2 points
Look at the other 3 semi finalists . Egypt is the only team with a backline and midfield that is domestic.
G
Greedy-Egg3748 • 1 points
So what ? Domestic football won you like 3 afcons in a row. Zambia won with local players
