The recent surge in search interest around “Dylan Raiola” can be attributed to his commitment to Oregon amid significant changes in the quarterback landscape for the team. Reports indicate that Dante Moore, another highly regarded quarterback, will be returning to Oregon, which raises questions about the implications of Raiola’s transfer from Nebraska.

As Raiola’s move to Oregon was confirmed in light of Moore’s decision, individuals seeking information have likely increased their searches due to the potential impact this will have on both players’ careers and the future of the Oregon football program. The overlapping timing of these events has heightened the focus on Raiola, especially given the competitive nature of the college football transfer portal.

Moreover, the narrative surrounding Raiola’s commitments and the implications for Oregon’s quarterback depth has captured considerable media attention. Outlets like Bleacher Report and USA Today have highlighted the evolving dynamics within the team, which in turn has driven fans and analysts to investigate Raiola’s role and future prospects more closely. The combination of these factors has resulted in a substantial spike in searches related to Dylan Raiola.

We don’t want to make the same mistake with the 2027 QB Class as with 2026 — I would take Young/Stroud, Williams/Maye, & Lawrence/Fields as pre-season duos or top QB prospects over the 2027 Crew any day. But Manning/Moore likely on top of a group that also includes Sayin, Leavitt, Carr… (Lagway?) is pretty nice. Will be interesting to see if Chambliss files paper work today. Have no idea what his plan is.

Crusherfootball • 13 points
Well The 27 class is not super stacked at QB in particular. I believe it’s just more of a stacked class as a whole.
C
cjfreel • 6 points
oh definitely. Just trying to showcase that it’s not quite as good as some, but very exciting overall.
C
corporateheisman • 3 points
I’d disagree that it’s not stacked at QB. Already we have Manning, Moore, Sayin, Maiva, Leavitt and maybe Sellers puts it together, not to mention the 1-2 names that emerge out of nowhere each season.
C
Crusherfootball • 1 points
That’s what the consensus opinion about the 26 class was and it looks like one of the guys is actually going to be a lock in starter
T
taylorjosephrummel • 1 points
This is actually kind of true.
C
Crusherfootball • 8 points
Also I could have swore they denied chambliss’s request for more eligibility already
C
cjfreel • 8 points
They denied it but he’s suing, not declaring, so that’s not exactly the point I’d close the book.
C
Crusherfootball • 6 points
Got you, so Diego Pavia 2.0

It sounds like the NCAA wants to see further evidence of medical hardship from Chambliss’ past and he and his lawyer are working to get the necessary documents together. We’ll see if they can put together enough to win the case.

Fair evaluation, and from an actual landing spot/draft perspective and not just a prospect perspective we have about 10-12 NFL teams in desperate need of QB help going into this draft. Our hope is Mendoza and Simpson would be the only QBs drafted and nobody tanks their GM or coaching future reaching for anyone else. That’s another ten or more teams next draft cycle that could be looking for first round options in the draft and we could see close to that record six or seven drafted.

As an Ohio State pseudo-enjoyer (upbringing, not alma mater), Sayin does not look like an NFL QB to me. I’d agree with your take, but he’s just doesn’t have NFL traits. I could be wrong and he could be the next Drew Brees, but I find it unlikely that’s the case.
S
senorfern • 27 points
Makes my 1.02 a pretty nice asset. I either get Mendoza or a nice deal from someone trading up.
C
Crusherfootball • 17 points
Essentially. Mendoza becomes the clear second most valuable player in the class for any qb needy team.
D
dbreeezy • 6 points
Yeah this does increase the value of 1.02 if you have a team hurting for the QB position in SF leagues.
M
Mockingjay40 • -2 points
Not me just winning the ship with Darnold Goff and Danny Dimes in my 2QB league now hoping to trade Jonathan Taylor for the 1.02+compensation right now lol

Of course. SF is the assumed scoring, especially when someone talks about QB’s ranking coinciding with SF rankings.

If I’m the jets I just try and get any usable Qb and make the most of your top picks on other positions and then draft a QB in 2027. Would rather that than take Simpson in the first round.
P
Philelverumfan69 • 4 points
Yeah I agree this is absolutely what they should do. Get a bridge QB and go BPA with their firsts
C
Crusherfootball • 1 points
This may be a better plan long term but rather unrealistic. I imagine Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey would like to be employed in 2027. Hard to imagine unless they get guarantees from woody johnson(very unlikely) that this would happen.
P
Philelverumfan69 • 3 points
Tbh I think a bridge QB like Willis is more likely to save their jobs than Ty Simpson.
Z

Willis is definitely taking Simpson’s job lol.

G
GuyWithNoSwagger • 1 points
In theory they should be a slightly better team next year (will still be at the top of the draft) but it is the jets
E
Emergency-Block8593 • 1 points
They have plenty of draft capital to throw around to basically get anyone they want in the next couple draft if they wanted to
S
SeeDeez • 1 points
They will be slightly better but Moore won’t be a top 2 pick next year so they’ll likely be picking where he’s projected.
Y

He wasn’t ready. Glad he decided to come back

Just take whichever late round QB has the best physical traits

Do not sleep on Mariota in 2026. Willis and DJ will be the easy “sexy” FA names. DJ will get a head scratching contract and Willis will get the next best one, albeit on a shorter term. Tua and Kyler are expensive options due to their contracts so young teams should avoid them. Mac Jones is worth *at least* a second to the Niners making his market less attractive for rebuilds. Mariota played great for the Commanders this year and will likely come in at or around $8M per. He’s an easy upside option for teams that are looking to evaluate their roster but don’t have a clear cut franchise QB available in this draft.
C
Crusherfootball • 2 points
I think great is quite the stretch. He was serviceable. At best he gets a contract with a team that drafts Mendoza or Simpson to maybe start over them at first and guide a young qb like he did in Washington. I would be in utter shock if a team signed him to be a true starter.
P
Purple_Dragon • 1 points
Idk about upside, but yeah he does provide a solid floor of competent QB play for you to evaluate your roster. Someone will bring him in to compete for a starting job.
D
deeboismydady • 1 points
Mariota is one of the better QBs available but he’s been passed around so many times. Would be a hard sale for teams. Don’t see a world where a team doesn’t go for Kyler. Pretty sure the Cardinals won’t even have to take on the contract. Tua I think the Dolphins are stuck with him. Rodgers is going to retire too. There will be some horrible QBs playing next year.
S
schmatty23 • 8 points
I would not lock in Simpson at 16 whatsoever. He is just a bad prospect. He has even less experience than Moore and was very inconsistent throughout the year. The history of one and dones in the NFL is horrendous, but at least most of them were actually good in their single season which you can’t say about Simpson. He also doesn’t have overly impressive tools or some enticing upside as a project. I don’t think Simpson has done anything to distinguish himself from Nuss, Beck, or Allar. He is just got hype the most recently and mock drafts have failed to adjust and are over-relying on the weakness of the class to project his draft capital. I could easily see Simpson falling to day 3.
C
Crusherfootball • 1 points
Simpson is 100% separated from the other guys. The only proof I Need of that is he declared for the draft. If he did not have experts and trusted people telling him he’s going in the first the more profitable option would be returning to school. Also I do not think you watched Bama if you do not think Ty Simpson had a good season he was the one saving grace for an otherwise mediocre Alabama season. The Line was awful, the defense was awful, they had no run game. He dragged them to the playoffs and even won a game in the playoffs.
P
Purple_Dragon • 2 points
You’re underestimating the hubris of a young adult who probably thinks very highly of himself and his abilities. For all we know he’s declared for the draft *in spite of* people telling him it would be better to return for another year. Wouldn’t be the first time. There’s also the possibility that Bama has told him he’s not guaranteed to win the starting job next year and he’s opting for the NFL instead of going through the transfer process.
C
Crusherfootball • 3 points
100% the guy who throw for 3567 yards 28 tds and 5 ints, with a bad oline and no run game they were certainly going to take away his starting role.😂

He didn’t drag them to anything. Bama limped into the playoffs, and while the team had plenty of issues, Simpson’s play took a nose dive in the second half of the season. Eeked out a win against a terrible team in SC, massively struggled against Auburn, and then got the doors blown off by Georgia. I watched plenty of Simpson and Bama and when I did I saw a guy that sometimes flashed intermediary touch and anticipation throws, but had no deep ball ability and lacks both high end arm strength and mobility. Feels like you are putting too much faith in his decision to declare while not actually evaluating him as a player or recognizing the incredibly bad track record of QBs with similar experience. If you think he is better than Allar, Klubnik, and Nuss fine, I disagree, but don’t have strong convictions when it comes to comparing late day 2/early day 3 QBs. And that is what Simpson absolutely should be.
C
Crusherfootball • 0 points
No you are just wrong lol. He was the best part of a bad Alabama team it’s undeniable. He was there offense. All the points I made you did not address. Yes in games against Indiana and Georgia he struggled but his whole team was out matched. If you stuck a Nussmeier an Allar or a Beck in that Alabama team they go 7-5 6-6. With that being said you are making two different arguments. One is that he won’t be good in the NFL based on his lack of experience. The other is he won’t be drafted there because he wasn’t good enough. I never once said he would be good for the jets. Just that he is likely to end up there.
S
schmatty23 • -1 points
Being the best part of a bad Alabama team doesn’t warrant being a first round pick. Actual traits and skills does and you still haven’t identified anything about Simpson the player that makes him worthy of a first round pick. And why can I not make two different arguments? His lack of experience is a red flag that strongly suggests he will struggle in the NFL. That hurts his draft stock and projected capital. I also don’t think he played all that well in his single season, which also hurts his draft stock and projected capital. Give me an actual argument about why Simpson should be a first round pick. Not how good he was relative to his teammates, not how Nuss or Allar would have done in similiar scenarios. Tell me why inconsistent 15 start Ty Simpson should be a first round pick.
C
Crusherfootball • 4 points
I’m done with this conversation you are clearly more interested in being right then having a discussion. You can make two points all you want but like I said above, I never made an argument for him being a successful NFL QB. It’s simply put with a bunch of desperate teams at QB he will be snatched up by at least one of them. He’s an accurate passer, good anticipatory thrower, makes good decisions and is very good at making plays outside of structure when the pocket breaks down despite not really being a runner. He’s not the perfect prospect obviously but saying he is day 3 level prospect is absurd and arguing points no one is making is just telling.
D
deeboismydady • 4 points
The fact he is declaring is the strongest indicator that he has a 1st round grade and will be picked in the 1st round. He would make enough NIL money to stay another year in college Vs risk getting drafted in the 3rd round.
S
schmatty23 • -2 points
For me that’s the only indicator of first round capital. I don’t see it from tape, traits, or stats, everything else screams day 2 pick or later so I am not ruling out the possibility that he just made a bad decision.
