Havertz’ best position is where odegaard plays, glad he came on for him. Didn’t watch the game fully, don’t know how he faired but been wanting Arteta to play him there.

He didn’t really do too much but you can see he’s still getting up to fitness. Biggest example of that is his pressing, he can’t afford to press like crazy anymore since he’s still unfit. I think this was a great performance from us with a decent result. We deserved more goals and both teams capitalised on mistakes, we gave them their first goal with about 3 poor challenges where the ball bounced for them, and kepa on the second. On MLS, Estevao is by far and away Chelsea’s best player this season. And he is at his best cutting inside to shoot. So Timber made a lot of sense, cutting in to defend with his stronger foot.

Madueke is playing better than Saka this season in the sport of football. So he should play more football than Saka. It’s that simple. Saka is a strikers worst nightmare. He’s giving you absolutely nothing. Defenders get blasted for not being able to defend. Saka is a winger that is not creating and he gets a pass. Madueke needs to start ahead of him until Saka improves. This is where Pep is clear of Arteta. If someone is playing better they play. Pep pretty much dropped foden for most of the season after he won premier leagues best player. Madueke is outperforming sake every time he gets a chance yet Arteta keeps sticking with Saka.

It is not a you problem. It feels ungrateful to ”complain” after a win, a win is a win and thats what matters in the end. But as you say, the goals we have been conceding and the spells of passive play which tend to hit us when we are in the lead/late in the game is just not very convincing at all

For sure! It is the context that matters, here we looked comfortable and could have decisively won but it ended up being “close” anyways, and not the first time we have been in this situation. Again a win is a win though, just that some improvement is needed in being able to see out wins comfortably
