You can find the drunk dev megathread on chilliad mystery the date of thread is in pic. Iirc he mentioned it would be like spend a certain amount of time traveling from point a to point b take + or – a few seconds. Stay at point b for x amount of time then go to point c and so on. But that was in regards to gta5. Considering the spawn pattern of the webs Im sure its a combination of a few webs and not all in one night. There is the time freezing glitch that if we can nail down might be the method to hit all webs in one night. I do also think mods to slow time or freeze time along with teleportation and speeding up horses and sprint would be easily detectable and cause failed a run. Basd on what we have in rdr2 i would be willing to bet there are more webs in gta 5 that have not been discovered. My most recent test is below. I never had rain occur when trying multiple combinations as arthur. My last attempt I decided to start with center web. Then 2-3 red 3-4 black 4-5 red then top 5-6 black. If you were to trace this on the map it would make a “N” if starting with 2-3. I also thought that maybe we needed alternate color feathers in our combination much like window rocks design being alternating colors of red white and black. Did not have any rain till I spent possibly too long at ft Riggs. Next stop could be window rock or gorge as both can be seen from the top of Riggs. Another thing to note. Between top 5-6 black and 2-3 black a dead bison spawns alongside the train track with its chest ripped open. Has anyone else seen that During testing? Anyone else experiance short bursts of rain while testing combinations on 100% save? I would like to think weather could be a sign of failure. Much like it starts to rain in gta 5 after doing something malicious or violent. The only other thing I made sure to on the last 2 runs where I saw the bison and no rain till Riggs was only use the bow to shoot down the feathers. Native American spider folklore and feathers makes it seem appropriate.. and the feather gets stuck on the arrow but you do not pu the feather when retrieving the arrow.

well, I’m not sure about mystical creatures, probably at most in the form of their footprints, otherwise they would have already been spawned in RDO by cheaters

At this point seeing as cheaters did not find the webs after years I dont put much faith in that.

There’s no reason for a cheater to spawn in a spider web made from cable mesh game assets. Any ped constituting a mythical creature would of course have been found

Should they have? A simple web is unlikely to interest them, but I’ve encountered quite a few giant burning horses, two-headed skeletons, and Neanderthals in RDO. If a mythical creature were an object, I imagine they would have found it by now, or at least found a place for it. So far, we’ve only found objects or drawings above the surface or in textures. Other players could see them at night for long periods of time. Frankly, I wouldn’t have considered a web on a pole while riding horseback as some kind of easter egg. Moreover, it only became an easter egg when someone combined the image of a spider and the map, and it matched the poles. I did a little research on what that guy wrote, phrases like: \- “It’s a shame they didn’t make Undead Nightmare 2” \- “It’s just waiting for activation” which, to me, is complete bullshit.

If there were really mythical animals in the game, people would have found them in the files. Unless, of course, you are going to try and say that the game will download all of the textures, models, ai and behavior, etc. for each one while you are playing the game and solving the mystery. Personally, I think its just a random person online lying for their own amusement.

The drunk dev can be completely false. However the fact that we must solve part 1 of this mystery to likely see anything else trigger or spawn isn’t. It could download but the fact cheaters didnt find the webs after 7 years also says that there’s still stuff to be found. I wouldn’t be surprised if a trigger shifts junk code to be recognized as a ped

That would take us to the source of Little Creek River, as the poster in the thread aludes to before “see the eye, turn around, wait, see the eye”.

I think the little creek river mystery is unrelated to the spider mystery. I do believe there are more than one mystery. I think we should solve the puzzle first and then work on overlays.

Potentially. But that runs on the assumption that the webs still hold a puzzle solution that will mechanically unlock something which may not be the case. As of now, the webs directly gave us the spider and the central web which gave us the West Five Pylons, which then gave us the NW Guitar. So another possibility that Little Creek River source is the next step in the puzzle. Not saying the webs dont have a mechanical puzzle solution left to solve but might be worth running down other options too.

I did post awhile back about little creek. And at a certain time a side profile of a face does vaguely appear with an eye but turning around seeing other eyes didnt do anything. Ill post at a screenshot of the face when I get home from work.

So the comments he made may not be related, but just on the small chance they are, here’s my theory: Based on what the dev said about tracking using sound and sight (especially the trees), is maybe once the proper spider web/feather order is found and triggered, we actually do need to go NW from the guitar pole following either the triggered sound and/or guitar symbols. Someone posted this image of a tree and said there’s multiple trees with the same image in the files, so it’s not unique, but maybe if it’s related to tracking it would make sense that there’s more than one. It’s inconspicuous enough that it might just be a random texture and we wouldn’t think anything of it without the right clues, and couldn’t find it as a unique asset in the game files, but now with the actual guitar clue, may be related? I thought this was the first thing that actually looked like a guitar and could be part of the “tracking with sight and sound” mentioned in the post. We need to actually solved the webs first. Like i said 95% chance we already have the next steps but since we havent solved the webs first nothing will spawn or trigger.

Inspired by OP’s post, I found out about a story where the grandmother spider brought the fire to the people. Next she spun a web reaching all the way to the other side of the world.** So I was thinking what if (inspired by this folklore), we need to follow the spider webs using a lantern? Or what if this tale shows why the webs were created (corresponding to the time they spawn), e.g. the spider started from 1-2 am, then 2-3 am, then 3-4 am then 4-5 am and when it dawns (I believe at 6 am at the game) is when it starts stealing the light?

The leak, if real, mentions a native American tribe folklore and a witch. And there is a shapeshifting witch like creature in native American folklore the skinwalker (yee naaldlooshii). If the leak and the comments are real, could it be related to our mystery? Or maybe another mystery?

I believe that if there are mysteries in the game and the dev was right we could have a big soider and or skinwalker/rake. The spider being triggered by our web mystery. The fact that we have a dreamcatcher quest AND spider webs with Indian feathers on them spawning at certain times leads me to think that it least in regards to rdr2 this particular instance of the dev was really dropping hints. Though we cant really confirm until we solve the first part.

if you read my other posts. youll see that i say even if the dev is completely wrong we still need to solve the webs first. its been 7 years and we finally found a legitimate mystery he was at least right about that. our focus should be solving step 1

For the last 15 year, at least once a month there are guys cosplaying as devs on 4chan and making shit up. Not even ONCE it ended up being the truth. Nothing he says can be used as an actual clue. He just repeats the same bs theories people had for all of those years. Oh wait no there was one exception. Ex R\* dev that got fired and leaked a lot of gtao content (mainly ceo and i/e content) The concept of a mythical creature in rdr2 makes no sense since we literally can see every ped model in the game. I guess it could be the manbearpig but as far as I’m aware, it’s not even rigged to have animation skeleton inside. That alone should be enough to tell u he’s full of shit.

i would think there are triggers that can convert junk code that is not a ped and rearrange it to then appear as a ped to populate. wouldnt know unless we went through ever single line of code/ trigger in the game but unlike GTA RDR2 source code has not been leaked. there is all the art in GTA 5 saying “we are watching” not out of reach to think through social club they can monitor what tirggers have been met in game akin to what achievements people have obtained.

I don’t think I understand what you mean by that. You talking about turning something like the man bear pig into a walking ped? Animation rigging, the skeleton, is done inside the 3d model itself, its not something that can be added with a secret in engine code. That’s kinda like saying the game could generate new texture files The only way I could entertain your idea? Lets say there’s some hidden filter that adds similar effects as the one added for ped ghosts. So instead of it being white and translucent, its dark and covered with smoke or something, them using some kind of visual glitch on a regular ped. Either that or them using some effects/models from rdro. That being said, its clearly a LARP, his idea are very basic. Ask anyone to pretend to be a dev and 99% of people would come up with a fake mystery thats heavily inspired by big foot vs the best. Yeah, we have to hunt a mythical creature that no one ever found in the files… suuure, very original, totally not something invented by a guy with no imagination I seen like 50 guys like this over the years larpin about gta v chiliadmystery. Once the source code leaked we know every single one of them was a lier. Same with this guy.

Ok but I have data mined the shit outta rdr2 and there are no mythical creatures aside from donkey girl and the Frankenstein. MAYBE you can count the bigfoot bones and giant cave.
