It’s always sizzling to see how style trends are divided between several geographical areas. From the New York Fashion Week, where sensuality and elegance reigned, to the London Fashion Week with its more masculine touches and toned down looks, we were able to witness various original style predictions for the upcoming season that will certainly inspire women all over the world. Now it’s time to reveal the romantic, luxurious and unique trends envisioned during Milan Fashion Week and in this respect we simply can’t go on without examining the hottest offerings from Prada.
Every season Miuccia Prada comes with fresh and completely different fashion concepts, yet one thing is always permanent – her strong desire to push the boundaries of what’s beautiful, alluring and feminine. No wonder, inspiration can strike from the most unexpected sources, and for her spring 2012 collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week, Miuccia Prada seemed not to have gone any further than her mirror. The incredible Prada spring 2012 collection was perhaps one of her most personal lines in years: the below the knee pleated skirts, the bomber jackets and the chiffon twinsets make us instantly recall the way she herself likes to dress.
Miuccia Prada’s vision for Spring/Summer 2012 has much to do with women and cars, and she actually called her new show “Women and Car Engines”, thus giving a clearer perspective on the main style notes presented. She once again opted for the retro glam trend, this time however of the ‘50s variety. Femininity, sweetness and somewhat modest approach could be felt in the line of extremely feminine outfits with subtle retro touches.
The catwalk during the show was flooded with classic silhouettes, boxier shoulders, automobile prints, flame motifs and crystal adorned belts. Spring jackets and pleated knee length skirts are among the must have pieces for the upcoming season, according to Prada. An alternative noteworthy style is the high waist fitted leather skirt. Bandeau tops, one piece swimsuits or shiny long coats with subtle rhinestones, as well as big jewelry, drop earrings and heavy necklaces are some of the best highlights of the Prada spring 2012 collection.
In terms of color, Prada gave preference to simple and elegant alternatives, rather than eye-popping colors by going for pastel tones. Thanks to its elegant, refined and chic character, the Prada spring 2012 collection is sure to appeal to a huge crowd of sassy fashionizers in the new season.
