You do whatever it takes to make your lips look more irresistible, more plump and kissable. Here, we offer you a few homemade scrub recipes that will help you prevent dry lips, removing the dead skin cells and give you soft, luscious lips.
Since the skin on our lips is one of the most delicate ones on our body, it can easily be ruined by too much sun, by smoking, aging and etc. Make sure to avoid whatever you can. There’s no stopping the aging issue, however, there are some things that you can do to return the shiny glimpse of your lips. There are even a few things that you can do at home. Here are 3 lip scrub recipes for you to try:
1 tsp honey
1 tsp baking soda
In the exact amount mentioned above mix the honey and the baking soda to a one-tone paste, apply it gently to your lips and leave it for five minutes. Afterwards, massage your lips for about half a minute before rinsing with warm water. That’s pretty much it- apply your lipstick/lip gloss/lip balm and you’re done.
1 tsp white granulated sugar
a few drops of water
a few drops of olive oil
Make sure to get the recipe correctly- pour the sugar in your palm, add a few drops of water, blend the mixture and apply it on your lips with your fingertips- while gently massaging them for about half a minute. Rinse them with warm water, then apply a little bit of olive oil on your lips and you can get back to your daily routine.
3. Scent-ual Lip Scrub
1 tsp honey
1 tsp oil (either olive, almond or other of your choice)
1-2 tsp white or brown sugar
2-3 drops essential oil, such as peppermint (optional)
Heat the honey in the microwave for about 5 seconds, mix it in the specified amount of oil, apply it on your lips and leave for a few minutes. Massage the lips in circular motions until you remove the dead skins, rinse them with warm water. At the end you can either apply olive oil or your favorite lip balm.
It’s really an amazing way to attend your lips it’s also a total time saver, if you have a few of these ingredients at work you can even do it in your office. The other day I took just a few table spoons of baking soda to work (I already had a jar of honey there) and on my bathroom brake I quickly made the mixture, did the whole routine and in about five minutes I was already done. You can easily blend in, so give it a try if you want to have beautiful, luscious lips.
