I mean if this was a longer montage of the guy making similar catches you’d have a point but this is literally one “catch” that wouldn’t even count in the NFL and could even be considered as not having the best body control because he couldn’t get 2 feet or toes in bound. normal human beings are still capable of being impressed by “almost catches”. i don’t decide if i’m impressed by something based on the rulebook, this doesn’t count as a catch but it adds to the list of times toney has impressed me which is many i’m more impressed that he is a willing and capable blocker considering he’s a reclassified true freshman and should be a HS senior right now. obviously he’s a dynamic playmaker but he’s insanely well rounded for an 18 year old

There is a ton of athleticism in the nfl. It’s insane to label him as a future all pro because of a play where he didnt even get one foot in bounds. He’s very athletic, great, no catch, its irrelevant. My opinion would be the same if he played for bowling green.
