The topic “rashee rice” is trending due to recent allegations of domestic abuse that have surfaced regarding the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver. This serious accusation has generated significant media coverage, leading to heightened public interest and concern about the situation. The influx of searches is likely driven by individuals seeking to understand the latest developments surrounding the allegations and the potential implications for Rice’s career and the Kansas City Chiefs organization.

A notable report from The Guardian confirmed that the Chiefs are aware of the allegations against Rice, which adds an official dimension to the issue, prompting fans and followers to seek more information. The combination of accusations and the team’s acknowledgment has intensified the scrutiny surrounding Rice, causing a spike in searches.

Additionally, a report from KC Kingdom discussing changes in the Chiefs’ wide receiver room suggests that the allegations may be influencing team dynamics and roster decisions. This context further contributes to public curiosity about how the situation will evolve and what it means for both Rice and the team moving forward.

This guy seems like he’s in the upper echelon of dumbass shitbags in the league, and that’s saying something

Y’all would be the team to sign a player cut in this fashion

Please allow my sorry ass team to introduce themselves. Signed Hunt, signed Watson, back to back 2nd round picks (Hall and Judkins) with DV accusations before even debuting for the team And guess who happens to have a major need for WR right now…

Wouldn’t that be the Dolphins? We draft them.

We can’t Kareem Hunt for this. And then signed him once he was washed up.

Tyreek 2.0

Tyreek was at least an elite WR
S

Idk is Rashee is elite but he’s darn good. Which means the great Christian nationalist family of the Hunts and “I’ll always give 83rd chances if you are a good player” Andy won’t do anything. I am so sick of their antics

So many times I’ve driven that exact stretch of 75 and had dipshits in sports cars driving insanely, nearly wrecking and scaring the shit out of me. He deserves to be catapulted into the sun.

NFL players are all in a club and you’re not in it. They defended Watson by and large. Many of these people are legit sociopaths who cannot imagine that another player did something wrong – they will always excuse it
A
AcreaRising4 • 1,498 points
I don’t think that makes them sociopaths. Cowards, sure, but not sociopaths. People are nuanced. Ive cut a friend or two off doing bad things but it’s always agonizing. Honestly, I think sticking with your tribe in the face of wrongdoing is a very human thing to do. Not a good thing obviously but human nonetheless.

A subreddit with gossip about people I’ve mostly never heard of but…. I still go there sometimes. It’s where I learned every celebrity (especially the ones I like) is a piece of shit- except for Keanu apparently.

Not arguing it isn’t but you basically get the same shit here and especially in team subreddits just a different package lol

> I think sticking with your tribe in the face of wrongdoing is a very human thing to do Sticking with your tribe is absolute rational and human, agreed. But NFL players doing stuff like calling Deshaun Watson a “model citizen” (as Myles Garrett did) and wearing “Free Rashee” shirts for Rice (as the Chiefs did) is going beyond that. You can quietly stick by your guys, but defending them as if they did nothing wrong isn’t protecting your own — it’s being ignorant of the people they hurt. “Sociopathic” is way too far of a description — but a lot of players definitely don’t give a shit about the victims of their teammates’ crimes, and that’s pretty shitty and callous. Locker rooms have some good guys for sure, but also a lot of dudes who are *far* from upstanding humans.

They’ve been shitheads since forever though I don’t think them having a terrible take on something is surprising.

Is this an “old enough to remember” thing now?
H
HippieTrippie • 14 points
It was 13-14 years ago. Thats probably not a story you would have seen or remembered until you’re like ~12; so you’d need to be at least 25 to remember it. So maybe? It’s at least pretty close, 25 is about the youngest anyone can be and described as “old” contextually.
N
NeverSober1900 • 37 points
I will say that by and large I do not think athletes believe women at all and they absolutely believe their fellow athletes that they are being shaken down. They live in a different reality from the rest of us in regards to women seeking them out since high school. They have a completely warped view compared to the rest of the population so it’s not surprising to me at all when they dismiss any allegations in regards to that out of hand.
H
heliostraveler • 16 points
Not hard to believe they just straight up hate women and were raised by mothers telling them that all women will take advantage of them when they make it big.
1
10FootPenis • 167 points
You can stick by someone and also recognize they did wrong though. I have a friend going through some stuff right now, I’ll be there when he gets out, but I also acknowledge that he has hurt people and deserves to be punished. The “Free Rice” shirts were trying to do away with accountability.
A
AcreaRising4 • 147 points
I am not disagreeing with you at all. I just don’t think that makes them sociopaths.
1
10FootPenis • 64 points
On that point I agree. It does make them emotionally immature at best though.
C
chopinsladyfriend • 18 points
Yeah, they’re not sociopaths, but a lot of them are extremely stunted and sheltered in various ways, from education to emotional awareness. They’re people who (for a lot of them) have spent well over half of their entire lives in a world where being the best at their sport is literally the only thing that matters. Where, as long as you keep performing well, anything bad you do off the field will get swept under the carpet. And when most of the people you meet and care about are in that same boat, it’s very easy to just stop thinking about the consequences, hence why so many players become stereotypical divas – if you’re good enough for long enough then you’ve probably spent most of your time at college and as an adult in this situation where anything you do wrong gets swept away by the media and the legal team, and only the absolute worst crimes have any consequences (and even then, as with Deshaun Watson, those consequences aren’t even legal). NFL players in general are the epitome of “don’t meet your heroes”.
M
M27saw • 225 points
It has nothing to do with being an NFL player, normal dudes defend their rapist/abuser friends all the time.
O
OverlyOptimisticNerd • 74 points
In my 40s, I abhor this. But in HS and college/military, it’s rampant and I was sometimes a part of it too. People in the NFL aren’t mentally their age. They’ve been in a fraternity since leaving high school. Many of them have simply not learned how to move beyond this. I am not saying this to excuse their behavior or mine. I’m explaining it. The was, is, and always will be reprehensible.
T
tots4scott • 8 points
Exactly. And never forget that these are essentially the best of the best of American Football, that is to say theyve been put on a pedestal since they *got* to high school.
K
kozy8805 • 24 points
Most people in general can’t believe someone in their circle can do anything wrong. Not sure why people think this is just related to football players
S
Schruef • 70 points
It’s also one of the most male dominated spheres I can imagine, which doesn’t come with a healthy respect for women baked in. Which is why they stand by Watson. I imagine most of the Ravens stand by Tucker. Don’t meet your heroes. It should also be noted that a solid amount of men just in society will stand by abusers and rapists before they’ll believe women. I dared discuss the Watson situation when he signed with the Browns at work. I was laughed out of the room for saying I’ll almost always believe women when they say they were abused, in these situations. It’s just kind of how America is.

I won’t forget that when Ray Rice punched his fiancée, the “mediation” that Roger Goodell hosted consisted of at least five men (Goodell, Rice, Jeff Pash, Adolpho Birch, Dick Cass) and *one* woman – Janay Rice, the victim. And it wasn’t even planned maliciously, I don’t think. It just never occurred to Goodell that he was creating an environment that probably felt extremely threatening to a woman who had been hit so hard she was knocked unconscious and then dragged around like a sack of grain.
